Inclusionem partnered with DHL Global Forwarding to conduct a comprehensive Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) survey in the Middle East and Africa region. This collaboration aimed to support the development of a more strategic and intentional D&I approach within DHL Global Forwarding. The project sought to collect validated data, both quantitative and qualitative, to support the formulation of a new D&I strategy for the year 2022. With a strong focus on inclusion, the initiative aimed to address areas such as inclusive leadership, inclusive culture, and psychological safety.
Background
DHL Global Forwarding had been actively involved in D&I efforts, and they recognized the need for a more structured and strategic approach. The company aimed to align its D&I initiatives with the actual needs of its workforce and to foster a truly inclusive organizational culture. Inclusionem stepped in to provide the expertise and data-driven insights required to guide DHL's D&I strategy in the right direction.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the collaboration were:
Collect comprehensive and validated D&I data from the Middle East and Africa region.
Analyze the collected data to identify specific areas of focus for creating an inclusive organizational culture.
Support leaders in various countries and areas with data-driven insights for fact-based discussions on inclusion.

Strategies and Initiatives
Inclusionem designed a survey tailored to capture both quantitative and qualitative data. The survey was distributed to every employee within the region over a period of three weeks. The questions covered a range of topics, including inclusive leadership, organizational culture, and psychological safety and a couple of open questions. The survey's design ensured that it targeted not only inclusion and diversity aspects but also the underlying behavioral and mindset shifts necessary for fostering inclusion.

Additionally, 32 area and country-specific reports were produced, providing targeted insights for each geographical segment.
